Educators create evidence collection activities and embed them within Brightspace content. Activities can be connected to Brightspace Assignments, with evidence accessible through Brightspace evaluation and grading tools. The authoring and assessment workflow stays within Brightspace.

LTI 1.3 with LTI Advantage
Stackle connects to Brightspace through LTI 1.3, the current standard for secure tool integration. LTI Advantage services - Names and Role Provisioning (NRPS) and Deep Linking - enable automatic role synchronisation and native content embedding. The same modern integration standard used in the Canvas deployment.
Brightspace Content Page Embedding
Activities embed directly within Brightspace content pages. They render inline, respond to the page layout, and respect Brightspace's responsive behaviour. Students interact with them as part of the content flow, not as a pop-out or redirect. Educators insert them through the Brightspace content editor or via Deep Linking.
Brightspace Assignments and Evaluation
Any Stackle activity can be connected to a Brightspace Assignment. Student evidence - including the complete version history - is accessible through Brightspace evaluation and grading tools. Grades sync to the Brightspace gradebook. Multipart Assignments allow multiple activities to connect to one assignment entry.
Sections and Groups
Stackle integrates with Brightspace Sections for cohort management. Multi-campus institutions, multi-tutorial courses, and location-based groupings all work through the existing Brightspace Sections infrastructure. Analytics filter by section, giving educators visibility over their group while administrators see across all sections.
Role Provisioning
Educator and student roles sync automatically from Brightspace via NRPS. When a teaching staff member is added to a Brightspace course, their Stackle access is provisioned immediately with the appropriate permissions. No separate accounts, no manual provisioning, no onboarding delay.
Brightspace Navigation and Course Tools
Stackle Analytics is accessible directly from within the Brightspace course environment. Educators access analytics without leaving Brightspace. Author Tools for individual activities are accessible via the activity menu on any embedded activity. Every management and analytics touchpoint lives inside Brightspace.
